RMS Titanic Resource Guide

Halifax, Nova Scotia

In Halifax, the Mayflower Curling Club on Agricola Street was set up as a temporary morgue for the receipt of bodies and remains brought in on the Mackay-Bennett, Minia, Montmagny and Algerine. Those who could be identified were forwarded as per directions given by their next-of-kin; those who remained unknown or whose families preferred interment in Halifax, were buried in local cemeteries.
