Our searchable online library catalogue describes selected holdings from the Library at the Nova Scotia Archives. It is not a complete catalogue for the collection, but it currently includes over 20,000 entries, capturing what we know are the most popular research areas within our Library. (last update August 2013)
Please note that items in the Nova Scotia Archives Library do NOT circulate and are only available for onsite use. If you're unable to visit the Archives in person, try your local library for assistance in determining if the item you want is held somewhere else in addition to the Nova Scotia Archives, and possibly available through Interlibrary Loan services.
All new Library acquisitions are included in the online catalogue, which is growing over time as we also gradually convert existing card records to electronic format.
The remainder of the estimated 50,000 titles in the Nova Scotia Archives Library are accessed via the Library Card Catalogue in the Archives Reading Room. All items not designated 'Self-Service' must be requested by Request Slips; items are retrieved during weekday open hours only (or by pre-booking).
