Filmmaker: Frank Murphy
Note: This propaganda film, 'restricted' at the time of release to 'war workers', aims to outrage the viewer at the 'treachery' of the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbour. There is an extremely vivid and effective depiction of the attack, combining convincing recreations and actual footage, and a sequence in which American servicemen killed in the attack 'introduce' their parents. The film also refutes Japan's claims regarding the extent of the damage to the U.S. Fleet, showing remarkable feats of salvage and repair. Film closes exhorting revenge. Sound track is deteriorating.
