European Vacation

Note: This film, [shot by Mary BLACK during a 1937 European tour], consists predominantly of scenic footage, mostly in colour, of various European locales, including the Gota Canal, the Rhine River, Lake Lucerne, and Venice. The film opens with footage shot on an ocean liner during the voyage to Europe. Also includes footage of [Black and some friends] watching women weaving and tending gardens in a small village. Excellent camera work and editing for an amateur film, with title cards introducing each location.
