This neo-classical, one-and-a-half-storey gabled house with central chimney is reminiscent of the earliest homes built by the settlers of Lunenburg. The original house consisted of an entrance door and two large bays, and was enlarged sometime in the 19th century, perhaps by cooper George Metzler or by one of its subsequent owners.
