'Rose Cottage', formerly 324 Lincoln Street, the home of Daniel Owen, barrister, Spanish Consul and Clerk of the Municipality, was inherited by his son Daniel M. Owen, who subsequently sold the property to William A. Zwicker in 1917. The house was later razed. The women in the photograph are Mary E. H. Owen and her niece, Florence W. Ruggles. This neo-classical house has a five-sided Scottish dormer.
