Report of the committee who attended the Lieut.-Governor on the subject of making the Briar Island lighthouse of wood instead of stone. "His Excellency was pleased to say that he preferred stone for all Public builds but in consideration of the Present State of the Province and as he was desirous to meet the wishes of the House of Assembly, he would relinquish the Plan for a stone building and would take the proper Steps for Erecting a LightHouse of Wood on the said Island." New Brunswick was not to have any control over the lighthouse. (Draft)

Resolution and draft of resolution for granting sum not exceeding £450 for transporting arms and ammunition for the use of the militia to the different parts of the province, for providing suitable places of deposit for such arms and ammunition, and for keeping such arms in good order and repair. Agreed to by the Council. Signed.

Draft of report of the committee of the House on privileges, on the Lt.-Governor’s refusal of their application for a copy of parts of the Royal Instructions. In view of the fact that the Lt.-Governor has referred the Annapolis election case to the Home Government and is about to refer this case to the same authority, the committee recommend "that the whole matter should be laid before His Excellency the Governor-General, and recommend that a suitable Address be presented to His Excellency, and that it be accompanied with Copies of all the Letters, reports, and proceedings on this Subject: and that His Excellency be requested to interpose his authority, to protect the privileges of this House;"

Resolution of the House that £450 be granted for the repair of Sambro and Shelburne lighthouses. Resolution for granting £15 to the widow of each non-commissioned officer or soldier of the embodied militia "who has already died or who may hereafter die while employed on actual Service. Resolution for granting £25 for repairing the Lunenburg-Shaffelburgs Mill road. Resolution for granting £25 for repairing bridge over Cooks Mill Brook on the road to Lahave from Lunenburg.
