Personal and confidential letter, regarding settlement of Alexander's "accounts against the children" [i.e. of David Easson?]. Saunders has been to see Cutler to get him to "overhaul" the accounts and since Judge Haliburton did not sign them as he should have, this has left the business open to further query -- unless Alexander has a letter of Quietas from Haliburton.

Letter, John Avery to Francis Johonnot
Giving an opinion regarding insurance liability on the sloop Wren and cargo, which was lost in 1751 and not properly insured. Easson was a partner in Dyson & Company, the company that owned the cargo. Avery concluded that "Captain Mauger" ought to share in the loss sustained by his failure to obtain insurance through the proper channels. Undated but ca.1753-54.
