in my debt, one letter, you never answered my last
one & therefore I have given direction to the sheriff
who takes this to Annapolis, to have burned in the [hart?]

could have got an opportunity during the early part
of this month if any one going up who had a spare

a few days, but the roads are now growing bad &
I am somewhat busier now than I was then, so that
I believe I must defer my visit to you until a good
