Petition of George Paris Monke, Captain of HMS Centurion, and officers stating that the officers of his ship, which is stationed in Halifax, are the only officers on the station who have to pay the provincial duties on wines consumed on shipboard, and asking relief.

Draft resolution "that the Sum of two hundred Guineas be granted and placed in the Hands of a joint Committee of the Council and House of Assembly the same or such parts thereof as the said Committees shall think proper to be remitted to Nathaniel Atcheson Esquire the Special Agent of the province to enable him to defray any expenses that may be incurred for the Purpose of effecting such Objects as shall be deemed necessary and Advantageous to this Province."
