363. Joseph Tinkham to Gideon White, in receipt of letter. Matters relating to suit that may be commenced against Fox. He wants copies of the proceedings in Shelburne in the case of Wilson vs. Freeman so that he may obtain a writ of error. "Sundry matters is wanting here in the Fishing way but Cash is very scarse, cou'd you Supply with Lines Hooks Cordage Sailcloth....Twine &c and take Fish in the Fall you might Dispose of Considerable, I most Wonder you have not been Down here before this, shou'd you come down this way soon think you might find it worth your coming...Salt is very Scarce here, cou'd you engage a quantity to be paid for in Fish?" 364. Chas. Whitworth to Messrs. Debloise, enclosing order from London drawn by Mrs. Egan on Thos. Jones which Debloises are to collect for Whitworth, and remit to Messrs. Champion & Dickason.  He has drawn on them in favour of Capt. White, and, if good bills can be drawn at par, he wishes all his money in their hands to be remitted to that House. Holograph.

Meader arrived, but by his "very illiberal speeches of individuals…insulting the whole Settlement of Shelburne" he precluded Whitworth's giving him the attention he intended. 373. Chas. Whitworth to Messrs. Debloise, notifying them that he has drawn on them for £242.5. sterling in favour of McLean & Bogle of Shelburne. He was forced to do it in order to secure bills of exchange on London at par, and hopes it will not inconvenience them.  Holograph.
