Petition of Andrew Forshner, commissioner for roads, Ramsheg, Cumberland County, asking for the vote of money lost by him in a suit begun by one of the contractors for the road work because he had refused to pay the whole sum, the contract not being completed according to orders. The contractor having won the case, the commissioner prays for the House to pay the expenses.

Petition of James Charlton and other inhabitants of a settlement in the township of Granville, asking for a grant to help them maintain the road running along the foot of the mountain and the cross-road leading to the main road. On the cross-road there are no inhabitants, and the expenses of keeping up both roads are beyond the means of the inhabitants. Signed with 10 names.

Petition of Wentworth Taylor and others of Dorchester, Sydney County, detailing the advantages that would accrue to them and to the Halifax market if a road were made from Dorchester to the head of the tide of St. Mary’s River, and praying for a grant of £300 for effecting it.
