Petition of William Falkner, contractor, who built a bridge over the Stewiacke River on contract and finds that the bridge far exceeds the cost he had anticipated. He encloses statement of his expenses and asks for a grant to recompense him. Also certificate of the commissioner of the roads for that for that district to the truth of Falkner’s statement.

Message from the Lieutenant -Governor George Prevost, recommending to the House to consider the bad state of the public records, "I request you will take the same into consideration and take such measures as may be necessary to provide a remedy for an evil that is highly inconvenient and prejudicial to the public interest" – and also asking for payment of sheriff’s bill for bread supplied to John Kelly.
