Report of the committee of the House on the petition of Robert Pagan and others regarding the impressment of Edward McCray and Matthew Allen. The committee substantiate the statements made by the petitioners and add "It also appears to the Committee that since this unjustifiable Transaction many young Men Natives of the Province and not subject to impressment, have been alarmed least they should have the same fate and frequently have fled from their Homes and Occupation on that Account."

Draft of unanimous resolution of the House that the taking detention and Transportation of Edward McCray & Matthew Allen from this Province is highly illegal, unconstitutional and oppressive and is productive of great injury to this Province by creating a constant alarm and Suspension upon the Minds of many of its Inhabitants and that therefore an Humble Address be presented to His Excellency the Lt. Govr. to request his immediate interference to procure the Return of the said Edwd. and Matthew – to their country and Friends."
