Resolutions of the House in reply to the Council’s message of the 19th Dec. on the appropriation of £17,500 for the services of the province. (These resolutions are not to be found in the Journal for this year and were possibly expunged from it). House do not admit "any Right in the Council to separate their entire Resolution much less to make any alteration in the amount of appropriations of Money". They "feel great surprise at the Condition annexed by the Council as the price of their acquiescence in part with the appropriation of the House for the Service of Roads and Bridges & especially as the whole appropriation which the Council seem disposed to agree to does not amount to more than three fourths of the revenue actually secured by the existing Laws."
