He will sell White's nails, brads and locks and remit flour, corn etc; he "wanted to Charter Thomson and…had the Flour and Corn already to put on Board but he Refused to take it on account of his Engageing to bring for the Inhabitants of Shelburn as much as he Could Carry.." Holograph.

"What am I to with the wilderness he has thought proper to assign to me - is it or will it ever by anyway productive - shall leave the management of it entirely to you - either to sell - or rent as you may think proper - only must request that it may not involve me in a farthing expence."
