He has delivered White's letter to the Governor. "I remarked to the Governor that your Expectations were well founded of which His Excellency appeared sensible but at present has determined nothing - He wishes he had something more suited to your Merits as well as Mr. Ogden's - The Candidates are yourself, Mr. Ogden, Capt. McKinnon, Mr. Brinley, & Dr. Burns."
