Note: In 1975 the Federal Fisheries Department closed a larger than normal section of Brown's Bank- La Have for a conservation measure. By the time someone realized a mistake had been made the fishermen had lost a season's income. The fishermen's union arranged a loan from Ottawa that was thought to be free. Years later Ottawa tries to collect.

Note: The second reel of the release print of Phil COMEAU's documentary examining the issues facing Nova Scotia's Acadians, made during the celebrations marking the 375th anniversary of the Acadians' arrival in Nova Scotia, held across the province during the summer of 1980. Film was shot at various Acadian celebrations and events throughout Nova Scotia, notably the August 15 Fete National des Acadiens' held at the Habitation in Port Royal. The film also features interviews with a number of Nova Scotia Acadians.
