'An East Coast Port': Halifax in Wartime, 1939-1945

Eve Maxwell-Lyte gave a recital interpreting English folk songs to the Halifax Ladies Musical Club at the Nova Scotian Hotel on 16 March 1939. Her repertoire included many folk songs collected by noted folklorist Helen Creighton. [The Halifax Chronicle, Friday, 17 March 1939, p. 14]
