Draft of Mr. Wiswall's motion resolving that William Smith, Sheriff of Hants County, is highly reprehensible for having written a letter to Archibald Fraser that was highly likely to affect the election to the injury of "the fairness & freedom of elections". Petition of John Osborn, asking for the drawback of duties he paid on prize coffee, which he afterwards exported to Salem in the United States, and for which he had been prevented from getting those certificates. Annexed are certificates and bills of lading etc.

Petition of Samuel and Joseph Peppard, Londonderry, contractors for building a bridge over Great Village River, explaining why they have been delayed in finishing the bridge, and expressing the hope that the House will make the necessary grant of money. Petition of William Hill, stating his services as Crown lawyer at the sitting of two courts at Lunenburg and Liverpool, and asking compensation.

Draft resolution and division on the legality of John Johnston’s vote in the township of Truro. Although deaf and dumb, he is adjudged to be capable of voting because he is in possession of his other senses and can communicate his meaning by signs.

Petition of John Inglis and other inhabitants of Aylesford, pointing out the need that exists for a carriage road from the township to the Bay of Fundy shore, since settlements have begun to be made there, and the inhabitants of Aylesford have no other way of getting fish. Signed with 40 names. Undertaking that John Inglis will contribute £50 for every £100 granted by legislature, and see that each settler on the road will do £10 worth of labour.
