Piers note: No. 222. Ives Point Battery: Interior, showing emplacements of 5 R.M.L. Guns on the west front, with intervening (?) Expense Cartridge Store and Expense Shell Stores; top of Barrack Casements (No. 102) with their two gun emplacements, in left foreground, and, below, Artillery Store for Small Stores; in distance, well. Halifax and George's Island in distance. Probably about or after 1876. Looking Northwest towards Citadel, Halifax, from top of Barrack Casemates. Similar, but not quite the same as No. 283.
