Note: This amateur film captures events from a day of yacht racing at [Chester], Nova Scotia. There is footage of race officials preparing signals, then of an official firing a shot-gun to start the race. The film contains extensive, well-shot footage of yachts under sail, taken both from the officiating stand on shore and from the deck of a boat amidst the racing yachts. There is also footage of a schooner at anchor, which may be the BLUENOSE II. since many of the yachts filmed are flying the Red Ensign.
