Synopsis – this series began as an experiment in 1954 by the National Advisory Council on School Broadcasting and the CBC. A second trial was continued in 1956. Nova Scotia was the first province to provide educational television on a provincial basis. That series began in 1958 with nine 1/2 hour programs on a variety of subjects, all of prepared by high school teachers who also appeared as instructors. CBHT also cooperated on the production of programs for the national school broadcasts.
