Synopsis – a weekly musical variety show featuring the musical group Don Messer and His Islanders who began their careers in radio in the 1930s. This series initially ran concurrently with, and then later succeeded, CBC radio's Don Messer Show. First broadcast regionally from CBHT, the program was later to gain national acclaim. Regular appearances were made by Marg Osborne, Johnny Forrest, Catherine McKinnon and the eight member dance troupe the Buchta dancers.
