The Starr manuscript material is mainly accounts, court records and correspondence dealing with Starr's Point, Kings County. However, it also includes extracts "From Old Starr Receipt book". The eight manuscript pages include recipes for mead, preserve cream, rhubarb wine, Parker House rolls, raspberry cakes, potted salmon, sack mead, sack posset, sugar plate, pickles, trifle, mince pie, balm wine [any of various aromatic plants of the mint family], plum wine, cheese cakes, sugar of roses, orange marmalet [marmalade], candy flowers, macaroons, cinnamon gingerbread and lozenges.
