"Town of Amherst"
From sketches by A.J. Hill, C.E. in Canadian Illustrated News, December 9, 1876, p. 345. "Town of Amherst" is a wood engraving. Canadian Illustrated News reported that Amherst has four hotels, six churches, three or four factories, and two weekly newspapers.
