Petition, William Palmer, Lents Head, stating that in September 1853, the 'Tweed' was wrecked. Says he bought the ship and repaired it. Asks for registry. Customs people demanding proof of purchase, no mortgage, etc.

Petition, Richard Stephens, Digby, complaining of the conduct of Edward Hogan, J.P.. He is a 'drunkard' and has been selling liquor illegally. Hogan actually resigned in October 1853.

Captain Robert Spurr, 'A' Co. Militia, Annapolis County, protests the removal of three brass field pieces from Annapolis Royal to Halifax. Claims they have been used by the militia and asks that the removal be stopped.
