Petition of Garret Miller, merchant of Halifax, protesting against the manner of the Lunenburg County election. "That your Petitioner in consequence of the riotous conduct and threats from Mr. James’ party, was induced to decline a contest which could not be continued without danger of bloodshed and most violent riots, and for the preservations of peace and order consented to close the Poll." Dismissed.

Report of William Sabatier, commissioner, on the Sackville bridge contract. (See John Henderson’s petition, presented 29 Nov.). Mr. Sabatier recommends that the bridge be built of rock in a place where the water is quiet instead of the place where this one was begun.
