Report of committee on Hugh Auld’s petition. They find "that the salt spring rises in a meadow which often overflows so that it will be necessary to convey the water in close leaden pipes to the upland which is 32 rods distance which will be attended with considerable Expence that the works when completed will be of great utility to the settlements adjacent the Committee is of opinion that the sum of £50 be granted to the Petitioner, he giving security to the acceptance of his Excellency the Lt.-Governor that the said sum shall be faithfully expended."
