The Royal Engineers in Halifax

Piers note: No. 85. York Redoubt: Main Magazine with its enclosing loopholed Stockade completed and Stockade connecting it with the fortification; also general view of the exterior of the Redoubt, showing the South Caponier with its high loopholed Wall and South Gate, the low loopholed Western Wall closing the gorge, the Tower and several Construction Buildings.
