The Royal Engineers in Halifax

Piers note: Horses, Sleighs and Carriages: Tandem (two dark horses with hogged manes) and Single-seated Sleigh or Cutter with "dickey-seat" behind for groom; with Officer in civilian costume, and Groom in winter livery with bearskin fur cape and leggings, etc., holding leads of horses; with battened fence and small polled willows in background; between 1870-1880. Harness with six small bells on each saddle.
