        We the subscribers being the Chief men of the
Norridgewalk Tribe having heard the submission and
Agreement of the Eastern Indians vizt the Penobscott
Norridgwalk, St Johns, Cape Sables, and other Tribes
inhabiting within his Majesty’s territories of New
England and Nova Scotia who were engaged in the
War in the Years 1723 and 1724, which was made
and concluded at Boston the fifteenth day of
December 1725, between the Honourable William
Dummer Esqr then Lieutenant Governor & Commander
in Chief of the Province of the Massachusetts Bay, and
John Wentworth Esqr Lieutenant Governor and Commander
in Chief of the Province of New Hampshire, and
Paul Mascarene Esqr appointed by Lawrence
Armstrong Esqr Lieutenant Governor & Commander
in Chief of the Province of Nova Scotia or Accadia
of the one part, and the aforesaid Eastern Indians
of the other part, Also the Submission and
Agreement of the Eastern Indians vizt the
Penobscott, Norridgewalks, Arssqunticooks & Weeweenocks
made and concluded at Falmouth in Casco Bay on
the sixteenth day of October 1749 between
Thomas Hutchinson, John Choate, Israel Williams &
James Otis Esquires, Commissioners appointed by the
Honble Spencer Phips Esqr Lieutenant Governor
and Commander in chief of the Province of the
Massachussetts Bay aforesaid, and Theodore Atkinson
and John Donning Esqrs Commissioners appointed
by his Excellency Benning Wentworth Esqr Governor
and Commander in Chief of his majestys Province
of New Hampshire of the one part ; and the
aforesaid Eastern Indians of the other part
distinctly and deliberately read over & Interpreted
to us Do by these presents In a publick & solemn
manner as well for our selves as for all the
rest of our Tribe by whom we are Delegated &
fully impowered for that purpose Ratify and Confirm all and singular the articles contained
in the aforementioned submissions & agreements

Signed at Falmouth in Casco Bay (Maine), 2 July 1754, by the "chief men of the Norridgewalk" before William Shirley, Governor of Massachusetts Bay, Paul Mascarene, Commissioner from Nova Scotia, and Commissioners from the Province of New Hampshire.

This is a transcribed copy obtained by T.B. Akins in the 19th century and bound into RG 1, Vol. 430 of his collected documents at the Nova Scotia Archives.

Modern transcription is by the Nova Scotia Archives, based on comparison with records published in Nathaniel Bouton, compiler and editor, Provincial papers, documents and records relating to the Province of New Hampshire from 1749 to 1763 (New Hampshire Historical Society, Vol. 6, 1872).
