Honourable Sir
Your polite favour of the 6th inst. did not reach me untill [until] last monday, at which time, in compliance with your request I repaired to the General's Bridge, the Summer rendezvous of a few Indians, who have, for years, made it the scene of their occasional migrations, and communicated your instructions to their Cheif. Next day, Charles Glode waited on me, and to him was delivered an order as under, viz.
To John Jeremy 12 Bushels potatoes, 1 hoe, 1 spade.
