Commander of the [Most] Honorable
Military order of the Bath &c &c &c
The Petition of Francis Paul Peter Tom
in behalf of themselves and two other families
[viz] Michael Tom and Edward Nowlins
Humbley Sheweth that your Petitioners are
in a distressed Case for want of Cloathing [Clothing] and
find it as much as they Can Possibly do to Procure
Provisions to [Eat] as the Inhabitants does not
Seem Willing to Purchase the articles they manufacture
at the Rate that would Enable your
Petitioners to Purchase Blankets and great
Coats and that on account of there being no
Snow this Winter there has been no chance
of Hunting Moose or Carrabou to make money
of your Petitioners would therefore most
Earnestly Solicit your Excellency to order
them a Pair of Blankets and a great Coat to
Each family your Petitioners are at Present
Located at the River [Kennetcook] in [?Douglas]
for a time by your Excellency granting
the Prayer of your Petitioners they will in duty
bound Ever Pray. __
