Know all Men by then presents that I
Philip Belnan ___ an Indian Man by and
with the consent of Mary [Josephine]
my Wife or squaw of St Margarets Bay in the
County of Halifax & Province of Nova Scotia for and
in consideration of the Sum of Five Pounds to me
in Hand Paid by James Walker of Chester in the
County of Lunenburg Provence aforesaid Esqr Commissioner
of the Road Leading from Chester towards Hammonds
Plains Acting for and in the Name of Our Sovereign
Lord King George the Third of the United Kingdom
of Great Britain and Ireland , His Heirs and Successors
the receipt whereof is hereby Acknowledged and
that I am therewith fully satisfied and content

Have Granted Bargaind [Bargained] Sold [Aliend?]
and made Over and by these presents do grant
bargain Sell Alien and make over unto Our
said Sovereign Lord the King his Heirs and
Successors forever The Right & Property
of a Highway thro my the said Philip [Belnan]
Lands lying and being situated at the Indian River
at the Head of St. Margarets Bay in the County
of Halifax aforesaid where the present Highway
now is or where it may hereafter be made for
the purpose of improving the Road leading from
Hammonds Plains to [Chister?] To have and to
Hold the before mentioned Highway with the
Right of making the said Highway to any
Width and altering it at any time for its further
improvement [?Unto] Our said Sovereign
Lord the King his Heirs and Successors for the
free and undisturbed Use of Our said
