In consequence of a report made to us by Joseph Marshall Esq and your letter to His Excellency Sir John Wentworth Bar. stating the probable situation of the Indians in the Eastern part of the Province the ensuing winter: - We have put on board your [illegible] for the relief of such aged and infirm Indians or women with small children without husbands whose situation your know to require aid - the following [illegible]

20 pair of 2 point Blankets -
and [illegible] to further authorise you to purchase and distribute when necessary from one hundred to one hundred & fifty bushels of Potatoes - These we expect you can provide readily for 15 d or at most 18 d / bushell.
You will be so good as take a particular account of the names of the Indians you relieve and the quantity of each article issued to each, what must be returned to us by the earliest conveyance in the spring - We are [illegible] yours &
