'An East Coast Port': Halifax in Wartime, 1939-1945

The Halifax Chronicle, 14 September 1939, p. 4, reported "Survivors of the torpedoed British liner Athenia sang O Canada and waved to relatives on the dock as the rescue ship City of Flint steamer into port yesterday."
