'An East Coast Port': Halifax in Wartime, 1939-1945

Bridge in the Public Gardens, Halifax

The pamphlet The Public Gardens of Halifax, Nova Scotia, p. 19, used a similar photograph, also by W.R. MacAskill, with the caption:

"In full view of the main entrance of the Halifax Public Gardens is an artistic bridge crossing a running stream, connecting three ponds, in which thrive many exotic and native pond lilies, plants and ferns." [F 107/H 12, #11]
