Draft of petition for a grant of 10,000 acres of land for himself and his brother, William, adjacent to land alloted to the York volunteers. This appears to be an updated copy of his petition of 1784, now mentioning that he is petitioning for a new grant, having relinquished land purchased at Shepody, 1796, by his father; and claiming that he [David Easson] has "acted as Superintendant of Indians and otherwise been among them on the most trying of occasions for the good of His Majesty's service and the tranquillity of the province…."
