          Sir
          Lieutenant Bontien having been unfor -
tunately drowned in his late passage from Boston to London
Mrs Bontien delivered us your favour of the 28th April, by
which was glad to find you in the land of the Living and do
sincerely congratulate you upon your being delivered from
all your distresses by the surrender of Quebec on the 18th Sept
1759.           Enclosed you have Copy of her discharge for the
£250.           paid her as administratrix to her husband
pursuant to your agreement with him for Entering into a
Partnership in trade from this place to your parts which
She has Entered into for the support of herself and Children
& in which we wish you all the desired success have placed
the said sum to your Debit, as also the bill you drew on us
in favour of her Husband for £23.3 Enclosed you have
also your Account Current, Balance in your
favour including Interest to the 6th present being £64.11.1
we have carried to your Credit in a New Account.
          When our Business calls us at the Office of Ordinance
shall make an Enquiry how your Account stands with
our friend Mr Bogdani and advise you the needfull in
          our
