E.A. Bollinger photographed the exterior and interior of the plant in 1948. H. Millard Wright, Building Nova Scotia brick by brick gives a history of brickmaking in New Glasgow, pp 75-82. [TP 826.5/ C212/2004].
L.E. Shaw bought a brick-making plant at New Glasgow in the 1930s and thereafter erected "one of the most modern plants on the continent." The plant stopped making bricks in the early 1970s.
