Dr. Willliam Harrison was a native of Liverpool, England, who immigrated to Nova Scotia in 1830. Jennie Reid, Musquodoboit Pioneers, vol. 2, pp. 830-831, states that Dr. Harrison settled in Middle Musquodoboit, purchased property, and “built there one of the finest residences in Halifax Co.” Dr. Harrison’s residence later became part of the Halifax County Exhibition Grounds in Middle Muquodoboit.
