Morrison McDonald, a carpenter of St. Mary’s, Sydney County [Guysborough County], petitions for a water lot in Sydney, Cape Breton County, and for land on the Cow Bay Road.
McDonald was assured by Mr. Crawley, the Surveyor-General, there would not be a problem with the grant. Consequently, the petitioner “provided a frame for a substantial store and dwelling house, which is now actually on the said lot...”
