Land Grants only provide researchers with the name of the grantee, boundaries of the land being granted, date of grant, and frequently a plan of the land. However, these records are useful because they establish when land was granted from the Crown to an individual. Subsequently land transactions are recorded as deeds from one individual to another individual.
