Petition of Jonathan Crane on behalf of James Noble Shannon and Company of Parrsboro, asking that they be not obliged to pay more duty on a cargo imported from Guadeloupe than the usual amount, because of a mistake in making out the ship’s papers. Enclosuring deposition, return of cargo, etc. and list of ships with details, entering King’s County between 1 March 1811 and 31 December 1812.

Petition of John George Pyke and the Committee of the Royal Acadian Institution asking for financial aid to enable the Halifax school to educate poor children as well. The school has 385 boys and girls at this time, and points out that 37 of these scholars are black children.
