(1) Petition of Nathaniel Smith and Ludowick Hunter, praying that the prosecution against them for breach of contract be stopped, and explaining their action in not carrying out the letter of their contract to build the new Ardoise Hill road. Annexed. Certificate that the money for the Ardoise Hill road has been laid out to the best advantage by the petitioners. Signed with eight names. (2) Resolution of the House that message be sent to the Governor to request that the prosecution against the petitioners be stopped. Signed.
