Petition of J.N. Bond and others, the Yarmouth Lock Company, who have formed an association for building a lock in opening a communication from "the Waters lying in the interior of the Township of Yarmouth and Cape Fourchu". They have subscribed £500 for building the lock, and ask a law from the legislature "to legalize the proceeding and to secure to the Associators and their representatives the fair and equitable advantages resulting therefrom." They also suggest the advisability of opening a passage from Lake George to Moulton’s Lake "which would furnish an abundant supply of Water at all seasons and greatly contribute in rendering the advantages of the Lock below less precarious", and would cost about £250. Signed with 34 names.
