27 May 1808

Draft of answer of the House to message from the Council regarding the vote for an allowance for Sir John Wentworth. "The House of Assembly do not conceive that H.M. Council had any intention, in their message of yesterday to prescribe the mode which the House should adopt for carrying into effect the object recommended to the House of Assembly by his Majesty. If, therefore H.M. Council will not assent to the Resolve now before them but return it not agreed to, it is probable the House will take the Subject into further consideration."
