African Nova Scotians in the Age of Slavery and Abolition
"Half-yearly return of the school kept at Preston from 1st June to Ist day of November 1828"
Return of Preston school showing child's name, age, parents' names, and scholastic achievement ("Remarks") in reading, writing, arithmetic, spelling or alphabet. The school was biracial and integrated, with 16 white in addition to 101 "coloured" children.
