cattle, as then I should be able to keep a few cows, which very likely would suit my purpose better. And as you were so very kind as to signify that the government would provide me with a cow, I shall be very glad to realize the fulfilment of this most generous offer at any time that may suit your convenience. Should you condescend to accomodate me in the purchase of the cattle, I should be all the better prepared to accept the cow; but even as the case now stands, I think I should not fall much short of hay enough for the whole.

P.S. I was very sorry that I was away when you staid [stayed] at my Wig-wam. A fortnight's good hunting in the Nebookt among the [teyam?] or [copete?], would not please me so well as a sight of the Netap so wilmadock to our elnook.
